I've added this page as an area where I will post short snippets of what's coming up in the series, ideas for future plotlines and character developments. Many of these may be spoilery, including discussion of past stories, so if you wish to avoid such things steer yourself away now.
Ethan Rayne will return, including development of his and Giles' past. What if they were more than friends? Clearly there's a lot of animosity between the pair and maybe, just maybe, that's because they were far, far more than friends. I may integrate this with the wedding storyline.
Dawn becomes even more powerful, as hey Key nature merges with the power of the Slayer.
Tara and Sunnydale return. This will feature a merging of two realities, one where Willow and Tara's positions in the bedroom that morning were reversed. Because Tara was alive, certain things happened differently and The First never arose. The story conclusion will see the two universes that are 'bleeding' together become one.
Kennedy will remain crippled for some time. No easy outs here.
Possibility of using Fray as well, although I might do that as a stand-alone story yet.
Just a short excerpt from Legacy 4 (no title yet!), normally I wouldn't put up much but I want to see what you guys think to the direction I'm taking with some ideas.
“What’s up Giles?” Buffy stalked into a large room filled with computer terminals, phones and monitors. In the centre, a large table currently displayed a map with a flashing red icon. “I should be saying hello to my best friend, not visiting mission control.”
Looking up from where he was stood beside the map, Giles broke off the hushed conversation he had been involved in when Buffy entered. “Buffy. I’m sorry to call you, but I thought you should know about this. Something is happening in Cleveland, with the Hellmouth.”
“Hellmouth? Cleveland? Giles, I’m on the other side of the world! I’m good, but not that good! If the local squad is ready, send them.”
“I already have. However, whatever was happening there seems to have subsided. However, something most unusual has happened.” He nodded and the young man beside him pressed some buttons and the table image changed, showing an aerial view of an enormous crater in the ground. Several roads led directly to the crater’s edge. It was as if a town had simply vanished.
Which, of course, it had. “Sunnydale.” Buffy said simply and Giles nodded in mute reply, confirming her statement.
“Since I took over at the Council, I’ve re-established contact with several individuals the old guard knew in government offices, particularly the Home Office and Ministry of Defence. As part of that, I arranged for a constant covert surveillance on the Sunnydale ruins. This was the state of the area thirty four minutes ago.” He swept his hand over the table, indicating the crater in the image before continuing. “Twenty nine minutes ago, a massive mystical shockwave washed over Cleveland and forty seven miles of surrounding country, along with mystical sites around the globe. Someone performing a ritual at Avebury was nearly pulled into some kind of vortex. Anyway, one of the Cleveland area surveillance teams contacted us and we began monitoring. Twenty one minutes later, the magical disturbance vanished, but I was contacted at the same time by the MoD agent.”
He nodded to the young man and the image changed again. The surrounding countryside in the image was the same, but the crater was gone. In its place was a town. Cars could be seen on the streets, a large container ship approaching the docks. All frozen in place in the satellite image.
“What the hell?” Buffy asked, her voice shocked, as she leaned over the table to get a closer look. Standing back she spoke again. “What. The. Hell? Giles?”
“That was my initial response as well. This is the tenth photograph, from a third satellite. I’ve despatched the Los Angeles covert team to investigate, but it would appear that Sunnydale has reappeared.” Giles removed his glasses and gave his eyes a quick rub.
“LA covert team?” Buffy inquired, a sinking feeling telling her she wasn’t going to like this answer.
Nodding, Giles replaced his glasses. “Yes, we have a team observing Angel and his associates, I’m somewhat concerned over his decision to take on the role of CEO at Wolfram and Hart. This, however, seems to be a tiny bit more important.”
“You’re SPYING on Angel?” Buffy almost shouted, her tone incredulous.
“Buffy, please, consider the situation. He has taken control of the West Coast headquarters of an organisation renowned for protecting some of the most evil entities known to exist. It is also strongly suspected of being involved in a great deal of evil itself.” His voice was reasonable, but she detected the faint hint of frustration underneath. “Wolfram and Hart has been watched by the Council for some time. Angel can be a little naïve on occasion, Buffy, you know this. He has to believe that even the greatest evil can be changed. I have no doubt he is trying to reform the beast from within, heavens knows he failed to affect it from the outside.”
“You’re SPYING on him Giles.” Buffy repeated her objection.
“Observing Buffy. Angel is in a precarious position and we need to be aware of all that occurs. I am fairly confident that he knows full well that we are watching him. Now please, can we leave this discussion for a later date? We clearly have something major happening at Cleveland, so much so that it has somehow managed to reverse the destruction of Sunnydale.” His tone had finally become a little colder, far firmer.
“Fine. But this isn’t over Giles.” Buffy’s own tone carried a hint of her anger. After all Angel had done for the world, how could Giles have the nerve to be spying on him?

“Okay, no more shop talk, we’re here to welcome friends. And speaking of shops, is there a mall nearby, I need some new boots.” Her tone became more cheerful as they approached the door to Willow and Kennedy’s apartment.
“More? Buffy, you already own half the boots in England.” Giles offered a sideways glance and smirk as they stopped, reaching out and knocking on the door.
“Very funny Giles.”
“Yes, I thought so.” His retort was so dry she almost, for a moment, thought he was serious. The sound of the door opening cut Buffy’s retort off as a red-hued blur slammed into her, staggering the unprepared Slayer backwards. Laughing, she held on tightly. “Hi Will. Good to see you too. Sorry I couldn’t make it earlier, the benefits of being Queen of the Slayers, I still get zero social life.”

So, what do you think of these excerpts? I'm hoping that my idea for returning Sunnydale is original and hasn't been done before. I'm also happy with the Giles-Buffy banter, but any feedback on these two pieces will be most appreciated.
